Announcing Popupper 1.6, this is a plugin for Wordpress versions 2.5 and greater that allows a blogger to insert links that when the reader mouses over the links it shows a popup, like this one. It is available for download as a .zip file (351K). You can get the official version from wordpress.org here.
The complexity here is that popups require that there is Javascript in the post that the reader sees. But, it would not be secure to allow any old blogger to put Javascript in their posts. This plugin puts the Javascript into the post in a secure manner, all the blogger needs to do is click on button.
Wordpress Version Supported: I wrote this plugin on top of Wordpress 2.5. I then upgraded to Wordpress 2.6.3 and it continued to work without any issues. I currently use it on my own blog running Wordpress 2.6.3. I also use it on another blog running Wordpress 2.8.4. I plan to keep it working with each latest release of Wordpress, and the the beta stream of releases, but I probably won’t backport it to old versions of Wordpress unless there is heavy demand (and/or a large paypal donation).

Steps to Install
- Download plugin and unzip.
- Upload the plugin file to your WordPress
pluginsdirectory inside ofwp-content. - Activate it from the plugins menu inside of WordPress.
User Guide
- Popupper adds a button to the page and post writing toolbar in Wordpress
- To create a popup, select the text you want to convert into a link, then click on the Create Popup button.
- Next, fill out a dialog box to create your new popup.
- You’re done. Click on Preview this Page to see your popup in action.

Hi, I loved you plugin and recently I have “upgraded” to 2.8.0 after that your plugin had stopped working. I checked a few other non working plugins. I discovered that in 2.8 there are some plugin bugs, but when they fixed them in 2.8.1 all my plugins apart from the popupper worked. I really like your plugin, but with no support in 2.8 and having no way of returning to 2.7 I can no longer use it. I hope that you will update it. Thank You for creating it.

I am trying to use this plugin on my wordpress site. When i click on the button to add the popup, it gives me this:

Okay, it appears that something is being sent before the session start command and I have to move session_start() to the very beginning. Now my question is, in my wordpress plugin editor, which folder do I change this in? Or is it in a general wordpress folder?
